UPH-Young Minds Facility
This project entails renovating approximately 90,000 SF of an existing former nursing home converting it into an impatient behavioral health unit for children and adolescents. All of the spaces have to modified to accommodate behavioral health patients. There will be a warm and safe theme for the interior design to create a space that will bring healing atmosphere. All patient rooms will be renovated and new seclusion rooms, group rooms, exams rooms will be added to each patient care area. Each unit will have its own dining area and new nurse station as well as supporting rooms. There will be a new patient intake area created to accommodate new patients as the arrive at the facility. The sallyport will be in the back of the building to create privacy for all new patients that arrive. The main entry area will have two community rooms, virtual family visiting rooms, patient and family training rooms, therapy rooms, art studio, and an ice cream parlor. The second floor will be for outpatient services that will include group therapy rooms. It will also have staff cubicles, physician offices, and staff and physician lounges. 65,000 SF of the building is going to be for future supporting programs by outside companies. This space will be renovated as new companies want to have their programs added with this facility.
