173919 – ATT – WT Travertine Replacement
The project is about replacement of facade stone panels for the Whitacre tower at AT&T Discovery District. The stone panels being too old had started to come apart and cracks were observed on the panels. In order to avoid accidents, AT&T decided to survey the panels and start to replace or repair them according to the condition of panel. But the initial survey and subcontract work wasn't satisfactory so AT&T decided to resurvey with different Architect and subcontract calling it Phase 2 and the initial survey as Phase 1. The work is carried out by multiple Drops of Swing Stages around the building and the ground level below is secured with temporary Decking and Fencing. The activities to replace the panels are to demo and replace with a new panel and polish them while, the panels to be repaired are anchored around the cracks and are parget and honed.
